Archerfalls Airfield is owned and managed by Ron Field. Ron is a passionate private pilot who likes to share his love for aviation. Archerfalls Airfield was originally used for cattle grazing, later a vineyard and winery and most recently a private airfield.
The airfield itself is nestled in the foothills of beautiful Mt. Archer. Mount Archer was named after three of the pioneer Archer brothers (John, David and Thomas) who established the Durundur Station in the area. The mountain itself features a large waterfall and an abundance of animal and plant life. It is a beautiful location for hiking and camping. Nearby is the picturesque Somerset Dam and Glass House Mountains.
Ron kindly allows non-for-profit organisations to occasionally run events at the location. Previous events have included Air and Car Shows.
